A visit to Corfu Town is
a must
during your stay
on the island. Wander
through the narrow alleys of the old town or
'volta' along the Liston.
You will see a diversity
of architecture reflecting the influence of the
foreign occupiers. Fancy
a bit of history...why not
visit the old and new fortresses, which are situated on twin peaks standing guard over the town.
To the south of the town in the area of Analipsi excavations are
currently in progress at the site of the original Corinthian settlements.
If history is not your thing don't worry, Corfu Town has a vast selection of shops. You will find British Names along side smaller shops selling traditional Greek goods. Take the glass bottom boat around Vidos island just off Corfu Town Port. See the amazing marine life under the sea and then come up on deck to see the charming sea lion show.

Kanoni has marvelous views of Pontikonissi and
the Achillean Palace is a monument to mythology situated in fabulous gardens. Paleokastritsa is situated on one of the most spectacular spots on the island where you can spend your free time having lunch, sunbathing or even take a small boat to.visit the 'blue-eye' cove and be shown the fossilised bones at the root of the cave. You will be able to enjoy a stroll around the famous monastery of the Virgin Mary and its museum. At the Bella Vista you can look down on the numerous bays of the rugged coastline and see Odysseus' fossilised bones in the distance.
Slide and Glide
Feeling hot? An ideal way to cool down is a visit to Aqualand – The largest water theme park in Corfu. There is something for all ages. Toddlers have their own pool where they can appear out of a frog’s mouth. Older children have separate pools with a pirates adventures area in the middle. The main slides are split into sections throughout the water park. An ideal way to take it all in is on the lazy river – lie back and relax ! with over 38 slides and a huge wave pool you are sure to want to go again.
Albanian treasures
Step back in time in the fascinating country of Albania, which was, until recently, the last communist stronghold in Europe. Sail the channel between Greece and Albania leaving Corfu behind as you cruise towards the town of Agia Saranda. An optional coach tour will take you through mountainous scenery to Butrinti, a well preserved archaeological site where you can capture some stunning views of this curious country.
